Louise Munoa Foussat/School Song
Louise Munoa Foussat
“God gives us a plan to do something when he puts us on this earth, and I always try to keep people around me happy”……….Louise Foussat
Louise especially enjoyed being with children and the older generation. She spent much of her adult life telling stories about Native Americans and nurturing the culture of the Luiseno. Her own ancestors lived in a village on the San Luis Rey Mission site and helped the Franciscan missionaries build the second mission to be established in California.
Louise's mother was of the Pala tribe and her father was of the Pechanga tribe. On a cool summer evening in 1908, they joined relatives and tribal members for a fiesta and powwow near the river. Louise was born at this fiesta in a saloon which is now the San Luis Rey Bakery.
Louise called Oceanside the land of her birth, the “beautiful city by the ocean with the mountains to the east of us,” adding that “one of my great wishes is for us to live in peace and harmony.”

School Song
WE ARE FALCONS
Foussat Falcons flying high
Spread our wings and touch the sky
Spirit that you can't deny
WE ARE FALCONS!
Respect and Integrity
Take Responsibility
Be the best that we can be
WE ARE FALCONS!
One and all
All as one
Working hard and having fun
Pride that can not be undone
WE ARE FALCONS!
(Music and lyrics by B.J. Morgan, 2009)
